The Civil Processing Unit is tasked with the responsibility of preparing and serving civil processes received from the Courts of Fulton County, as well as other jurisdictions. In addition to process service, this section executes court orders that include the completion of Evictions, Writs of Possession and the collection of other judgments issued by the courts.
- Please verify that all addresses are located within Fulton County for any civil process matters.
- Accepted methods of payment for service are U.S. Postal Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks only.
- Personal and business checks are not accepted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
- All checks should be made payable to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and directed to the attention of Civil Process.
- For questions related to State or Magistrate Court cases, please contact the Fulton County Marshal’s Office at (404) 612-4451.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Verification Information
When registering a vehicle with the state of GA, a Form T-22B may be required. This form certifies that a law enforcement officer has inspected the vehicle’s identification number. This inspection ensures that the vehicle has not been reported stolen and that the affixed vehicle number matches the title/bill of sale. Effective immediately, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is changing how citizens can obtain VIN Verifications. VIN verifications will now be handled by APPOINTMENT ONLY at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Civil Process Unit, 185 Central Avenue. Schedule Fee’s
The Sheriff’s Fee Schedule is defined and controlled by state legislature (O.C.G.A 15-16-21). The fees set forth are known to be accurate at the time of publishing. All amounts reflected are in United States dollars.Subpoenas
